Description

On this 11 km easy 3 hour plus experience, we’ll experience the many different personalities of the Kerry Way between Sneem and the beautiful costal area of Clashnakree and Parknasilla. This walk combines gravel, stone and muddy paths. Some small sections of gradual ascent and descents require a moderate level of stability and walking fitness. Suitable clothing and footwear a prerequisite; no jeans please.

Photos from the Day

We will meet outside Dan Murphy’s Pub Sneem at 10.30 AM on Sunday 19th March 2023 and walk to and from here.

This wonderful and varied walk along the Kerry Way opens up at Clashnacree and Parknasilla to provide stunning views over the Kenmare River and across to the Beara Peninsula.

Given the likely weather expected on Sunday this is a low level walk that will suit a good level of abilities whilst providing an experience of the Kerry Way walking directly out of Sneem and the beautiful Kenmare River vistas. There will be plenty of opportunities for a stop to take photos. We will also find a suitable place to stop for our packed lunch.

This walk is an official part of the festival activities and visitors are welcome to attend.

With all walks advertised please bear in mind that these can change at short notice due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
