Description

Walk to the summit of Mangerton Mountain from Kilgarvin and return via Killarney. Mangerton is 843m high.

This Mangerton climb is from the Kilgarvan side and descends on the Killarney side. It is a strenuous walk over broken and uneven ground and includes steep inclines.

As always the usual warnings regarding footwear, clothing, food, drinks etc all apply . Walk can be changed at short notice depending on weather .

As we will be using a bus for transport there will be a charge ( probably 5 euro ) depending on numbers attending. Bus will depart from outside Dan Murphy’s at 10am and will collect others in Kenmare at 10.30. We hope to be walking by 11am and walk will take 5 to 6 hours .
