This short B walk was planned to take account of the forecasted inclement weather. It was an 8km out and back walk along quite country lanes and took a little less than 2 hours.

Standing on the shores of the lake in windy conditions with its entry and exit stream in full flow was an exhilarating start to the day. The mountainous backdrop looked as impressive as ever.

The chat and company was as usual very enjoyable and on our return trip to Sneem, we had the wind at our backs and mostly dodged the rain.
