Description

Satisfying day of walking out in the hills north of Sneem Village. Today we were joined by members of Total Motorhome Ireland for great fun.

Both A and B Walks were lucky with the weather conditions on the day, as the forecast was less favourable. Although the skies remained grey, the clouds did not hamper navigation and the views across neighbouring mountains and Kenmare Bay were clear.

The day’s A Walk took place in the Derryleagh area with a 4+ hour Mountain Loop from Coomyanna Bridge.

The B Walk followed a shortened Fermoyle Loop trail for 3+ hours and the Club welcomed 14 guests from the Total Motorhomes Ireland group that were visiting Sneem for the weekend.

A great day was had by enjoyed by all walkers and well done to everyone for taking on the challenge of walking in the wet conditions underfoot – following a number of days of heavy rainfall.

With all advertised walks please bear in mind that these can change at short notice due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Meeting point for these walks (unless otherwise noted) is outside Dan Murphy’s Bar in Sneem at 10AM. Please ensure that you are registered on the Sneem Walking Club’s Whatsapp Group for updates. Please note that dogs are not allowed on our walks, as we walk on privately owned land with the kind permission of the owners / farmers.
