Requirements

Well-soled waterproof walking boots, comfortable outdoor clothes with extra warm layers in a backback with sufficient water, food and/or snacks.

Description

This well marked trail on the outskirts of Cahirsiveen provides great views throughout. It takes you to the summit of Castlequin where you will have sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

This is 6K looped trail beginning and ending at Castlequin is graded as a moderate trail. The initial ascent is quite steep but the views at the top make it all worthwhile! It takes approximately 2hrs to complete.
